With her AEW contract up soon, Saraya is open to a WWE return.

With Saraya's current AEW deal due to expire this September, could the former Paige be set for a WWE return? She's certainly not ruling it out...

Speaking during an appearance on Booker T's Hall of Fame podcast (via Fightful), Saraya noted her appreciation for WWE and how she'd be open to a return if the right opportunity presented itself.

As the one-time AEW Women's Champion explained:

"I just appreciate WWE so much, and the idea of going somewhere else was only because of the potential of my brother being there. I love WWE, I would definitely go there. Yeah, absolutely, it would be silly not to. If there's an opportunity to do something fun, hell yeah, I'll jump on board."

Having last wrestled for AEW back in October on the Title Tuesday special episode of Dynamite - coming up short in a four-way match featuring Jamie Hayter and Nyla Rose, and won by Willow Nightingale - Saraya has been on a break from Tony Khan's promotion in recent months.

As mentioned, the English star has made no secret that her AEW contract expires in September, and it remains to be seen what exactly the 32-year-old will do next. By all accounts, Saraya re-signing with AEW hasn't been ruled out, but obviously, the above comments show that the former WWE Divas Champion is more than open to exploring a WWE return should the right offer come her way.

Saraya In AEW

Having departed WWE in the summer of 2022, Saraya made her AEW debut at Grand Slam that September, with her soon announcing she'd been cleared to wrestle again ahead of facing Britt Baker at Full Gear in November. Of course, the WWE in-ring career of Paige came to an end due to a neck injury suffered in late 2017, which itself came on the back of neck surgery the prior year.

By the time she turned up in AEW, though, Saraya was at a point where she was able to lace up her boots and compete, which in itself led to the formation of the Outcasts with Toni Storm and Ruby Soho just a matter of months after Saraya's return to the ring.

Of her AEW run to date, the obvious highlight for Saraya has been winning the AEW Women's Championship in front of her family at All In 2023, dethroning Hikaru Shida in a four-way match also featuring Britt Baker and Toni Storm. That title reign would only last 44 days, though, with Saraya successfully defending the belt once - against Toni - before dropping it back to Shida.

As alluded to in Saraya's recent comments, she was also joined in AEW by her brother, Zak Knight, although Zak left the company earlier this year after AEW decided not to renew his contract.
