Tony Khan claimed WWE "is like the Harvey Weinstein of pro wrestling" during an appearance on the NFL Network on Friday.

Over the last few days, the AEW President has very much found himself in the spotlight in the wake of being attacked by the Elite in an angle on this week's Dynamite, with the Tony Khan Driver he was hit with in particular eventually resulting in him wearing a neck brace during the NFL Draft to sell the beatdown.

That neck brace was still present as the Jacksonville Jaguars' Chief Footbal Strategy Officer showed up on the NFL Network to discuss both the Draft and AEW's rivalry with WWE.

It was here when Khan noted how AEW is "the most successful sports start-up since the AFL (American Football League), pre-merger (with the NFL)." But after comparing his wrestling company with the Pepsi soda brand, the All Elite man would then follow up that statement by adding (H/T F4WOnline):

"WWE is our competitor, that's who we're facing. AEW [is] like the Pepsi of pro wrestling, WWE's like the Harvey Weinstein of pro wrestling. And I'm really proud of what we do down here."

The hosts of the show looked to quickly move on after Khan chose to compare WWE with the disgraced Hollywood producer who is currently serving time for sexual assault and rape (via CNN), with former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon facing his own sexual abuse allegations in the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant at the start of 2024.

McMahon, who would resign from WWE and TKO Group Holdings after the lawsuit was filed, along with both WWE and John Laurinaitis are all listed as defendants in that aforementioned suit.
