AJ Styles Discusses Possible IMPACT Wrestling Return

The current WWE Intercontinental Champion discusses whether he'd be open to an IMPACT return.

These days, it seems like one of the best sources for wrestling news is AJ Styles’ Twitch stream. And now, P1 has gone public in addressing those rumblings of a possible return to IMPACT Wrestling.

Previously, Styles’ Good Brother pals of Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows have spent the past several weeks talking up their wish to have AJ join them in IMPACT. Given Styles’ disappointment at how his real-life BFFs were fired by WWE in April, many wondered whether the current Intercontinental Champion may be tempted to jump ship and return to the company where he first made his name.

Of course, while addressing these rumours, Styles was extremely diplomatic with his words.

Courtesy of WrestlingInc, AJ said, “Never say never, but I also have said that I would like to finish my career in the WWE. So, we’ll see.”

Praising the talent now contracted to IMPACT, Styles enthused, “Man, they’ve got some strong talent. Not that they didn’t have good talent before, but they’ve upped it just a little bit more.”

Two-time WWE Champion and two-time IMPACT Champion Styles went on to add how he’s happy to see Anderson and Gallows happy, mentioning how things were tough for them at times in WWE.

Like AJ Styles alluded to, he has previously talked about how happy he is with WWE, how he wants to end his career in a WWE ring, and that he wishes he signed with the company earlier than he did. And given how AJ has a big-money multi-year deal with WWE, don’t expect the Phenomenal One to be leaving Vince McMahon’s sports entertainment juggernaut any time soon.
