AJ Styles quoted a fan post on X claiming that WWE bribed him to stay put, possibly with a Hall Of Fame induction shortly before WrestleMania 42. This comes amidst chatter online from other fans suggesting that AJ should've continued his in-ring career by jumping over to AEW or wrestling elsewhere in the industry.

The multi-time World Champion won't let those people speak for him, so he fired back.

In his response, Styles said: "If bribing me leads to getting the job that I want, that's great". Of course, he's referring to a gig at WWE's Performance Center. AJ took up that role after losing to Gunther at the Royal Rumble PLE in January - he wasn't involved in 'Mania weekend beyond the HOF treatment.

Anyone hoping that Styles would leave the company and immediately sign with Tony Khan's league must be disappointed, but some fans don't seem keen to think about what AJ wanted from his retirement. He's clearly very happy doing what he's doing on WWE's side of the fence, and he was honoured by the Hall Of Fame induction in Las Vegas.

Triple H has been full of praise for Styles too, and believes he has a bright future behind the scenes. There's no word yet on whether AJ will ever work another match. That's his choice. The legend did, however, say that he'd love the chance to work with his children if they ever got into pro wrestling. So, he won't rule out some sort of tag-team scenario years in the future.

For now, he's content at the PC.
