News broke Sunday that Alberto Del Rio had missed Triple A's Heroes Inmortales, forcing changes to the card. On Monday, Del Rio revealed the reason for his absence from the show - he was assaulted by a man wielding a knife outside a restaurant.

According to the statement Del Rio released to his fans, he suffered numerous lacerations to his arm while defending himself from an assailant. Following the incident, Del Rio was treated at a hospital and filed a report with police, keeping him from making his flight to the show.

Heroes Inmortales was supposed to mark Del Rio's return to Triple A, where he was scheduled to team with Psycho Clown to take on Pagano and Dr. Wagner, Jr. Del Rio previously competed for Triple A early in his career, then returned to the company in 2014, winning the group's Mega Heavyweight Championship.
