All 21 NXT-To-WWE Call-Ups - Ranked From Worst to Best
2. Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns
I would have listed The Shield, but kayfabe historians will recall that Dean Ambrose wasn't in NXT. He was denied that opportunity thanks to his brutal beating of William Regal on the final episode of FCW.
Rollins, on the other hand, lived through the developmental rebrand and became the inaugural NXT champion, while Roman Reigns was busy distancing himself from his FCW identity, Polynesian beefcake Leakee.
Rollins and Reigns appeared in their best tactical turtlenecks at the 2012 Survivor Series, doing the Lord’s work and keeping Ryback away from the WWE Championship.
Remarkably, they had never teamed with each other (or Ambrose) before this, but they were somehow pure magic. They were unstoppable, and frequently trucked much more established stars.
The careers of Reigns and Rollins (and Ambrose) were made in those early days when three wet-headed weirdos showed up in SWAT gear and put the fear of God into the WWE roster.
