Lacey Evans was certainly one of the most eye-catching competitors in the Mae Young classic, her old school all-American look blending well with some innovative offence based on strength and agility. Her first round victory over Taynara Conti was more a showcase of her unique character than a flashy in-ring performance, but better things were to follow.
Evans' second round defeat to Toni Storm was a solid and unpredictable match, one which managed to keep the crowd guessing despite the apparent obviousness of the winner. Keep an eye out for Lacey in future; she certainly seems to check many of WWE's boxes.
