Like Michelle, Xia Li's main purpose in the tournament was to help showcase a competitor set for a deeper run. Despite this, Li got a small window to show what she could do - in a match with Mercedes Martinez billed by commentary as her first pro wrestling bout ever.
While her inexperience may have been exaggerated for dramatic effect, it was certainly rooted in truth. Li is one of WWE's most recent call-ups, signed as part of an influx of Chinese talent. The future could well be bright.
