Analysing 14 Upcoming WWE Network Original Shows

14. Camp WWE - Coming Late 2015

From the press release:
WWE, in partnership with Seth Green€™s Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, will debut a new, animated short-form comedy series entitled Camp WWE. Imagine WWE Superstars and Divas when they were kids at their favorite summer camp€which happens to be run by none other than Mr. McMahon €“ add in shock-value, slapstick humor and social satire €“ and you have WWE€™s first adult comedy, which will debut later this year.
Any time WWE has attempted something similar to this concept it's failed to catch on. That doesn't mean that Camp WWE is doomed but it's very unlikely that the majority of those 1.3 millions subscribers - the hardcore fans who are watching for the PPVs and pouring through the archives - are going to bother with this show. Slam City, the first animated Network series drew very little interest, however the youtube cartoon Cheap Pops was developing a solid following until it was taken down for unspecified reasons. There is a chance this could be a fun little romp, but absurdly implausible to expect that this will be another South Park or Family Guy type success.
