Analysing WWE’s 10 Most-Viewed YouTube Videos Of 2017

7. Strowman Confronts Brock (Monday Night Raw, April 3rd) - 9,605,400 Views

WWE release literally hundreds of videos a month on their YouTube channel, splitting highlights of every weekly telecast into digestible chunks as well as offering teasing moments from pay-per-views past and present as a way to lure tentative YouTube subscribers into a full-blooded longterm relationship with the WWE Network.

Clearly enough of those potential fans were extremely keen to see Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar face off when such a battle was teased the night after WrestleMania 33.

'The Monster Among Men' advised 'The Beast' not to overlook him as he readied himself for battle against Roman Reigns, but showed rare discretion in walking away from a fight that night to concentrate on 'The Big Dog' (more on that later).

It was the most-watched moment from the traditionally explosive post-WrestleMania edition of the flagship show, highlighting exactly what a large cross section of WWE fans wanted, but the company's eventual delivery of the battle somehow contrived to make Strowman look even more of a letdown than he did in their opening salvo.

McMahon only needs his insticts when it comes to pushing somebody like Braun, not additional metrics. Why on earth he didn't follow them with coviction remains a desperately disappointing mystery.
