Arena Continues Hyping Cancelled WWE Elimination Chamber Match

Did nobody get the memo?

Roman Reigns Goldberg

The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania tweeted out that fans should 'get their tickets now' to see a match that won't happen this Sunday at WWE's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

According to the post, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Daniel Bryan, Shinsuke Nakamura, 'King' Corbin and Robert Roode will battle to determine the number one contender for Goldberg's Universal Title at WrestleMania 36.

Obviously, given the face-to-face that happened on SmackDown between Goldberg and Reigns and the fact WWE themselves haven't been hyping such a bout, this isn't the plan. It might have been at one point, but not anymore, and it seems someone at Wells Fargo needs to read their emails.

The venue's page deleted the tweet soon after it went live.

WWE are running with two Chamber matches this weekend, but that Universal Title hunt isn't one of them. The Miz and John Morrison will defend their SmackDown Tag-Team Titles against New Day, The Usos, Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party and the duo of Dolph Ziggler and Roode.

Meanwhile, Natalya, Liv Morgan, Shayna Baszler, Asuka, Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan will compete to establish a new contender for Becky Lynch's Raw Women's Title.
