Assessing The Futures Of 10 WWE Stars Who Didn't Make The Royal Rumble 2022 Cut

9. Veer Mahaan

While he's been coming to Raw for months now, some thought WWE might use the Royal Rumble to re-debut Veer Mahaan.

It was back in October that we saw the first vignettes hyping Veer's big Raw return, with Mahaan split from Shanky and Jinder Mahal during the WWE Draft. Since then, despite the weekly promises of his Raw arrival, the only place we've been able to see Veer is on WWE Main Event.

The former Indus Sher man seems to be one of the many talents suffering for the simple fact that WWE doesn't know what to do with them. In fact, the "Coming To Raw..." situation is said to have become a running joke amongst WWE management, with company officials having no actual plans in place for the former baseball pitcher.

Missing the Royal Rumble doesn't particularly make any difference to Veer's stock or status with WWE, and it's likely we'll continue to get the same vignettes week in, week out until Mahaan ends up as one of those cut later in the year.

If and when Veer finally does get to Raw, nobody will give a single, solitary sh*t.

In terms of Rumble absences, one could also question the lack of Jinder Mahal. Sure, the Modern-Day Maharaja isn't exactly great in-ring, but as a one-time WWE Champion you could argue he'd warrant a spot at the promotion's annual January PPV.
