Having made a hugely impressive surprise appearance at WWE Royal Rumble over the weekend, there's now word on how Jordynne Grace's involvement in the women's Rumble came to be and what the internal reaction was to her performance.

Via PWInsider.com, WWE approached TNA Wrestling about using Grace at the Royal Rumble as an "outside the box idea". One source noted how this was a Paul Levesque decision, and the deal itself came together quickly. As previously reported by Fightful Select, WWE talent were made aware of the Juggernaut's Rumble involvement on Thursday when she was at rehearsals for the match.

In terms of the impression made by the TNA Knockouts Champion, PWInsider adds how a lot of people in WWE were blown away by her Royal Rumble outing. This report also confirms that no TNA officials were backstage at the Rumble, with TNA President Scott D'Amore on the Jericho Cruise, and Tommy Dreamer not in attendance for the PLE despite being in Tampa for Busted Open duties over the weekend.

While Jordynne Grace's Royal Rumble appearance was designed as a one-off, the star herself has teased that this won't be the last you'll see of TNA in WWE. And with the Triple H-led promotion far more open to working with other companies than it's been in decades, don't rule out further WWE appearances from Grace and the TNA roster in the future.
