Having been dealing with an arm injury in the lead to WrestleMania 39, there's now an update on WWE's Ronda Rousey.

Originally, the belief was that Rousey and Shayna Baszler were to win the Women's Tag Team Titles at 'Mania 39, though those plans were ultimately changed.

Instead, the two former UFC fighters were part of a four-team match which featured the Rowdy One in a limited role and allowed for her to be protected. Ronda and Shayna would be victorious in that bout, getting the better of Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan, Natalya & Shotzi, and Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville.

Since then, Rodriguez and Morgan have gone on to defeat Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus - who was serving as a replacement for Lita - to become the new Women's Tag Champs, and many are presuming that Rousey and Baszler will soon be up for a shot at those belts.

For those wondering where Ronda Rousey has been since WrestleMania 39, the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio had Dave Meltzer note how the inaugural UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion has still yet to be cleared for in-ring action.

As Meltzer put it:

"Well, the deal is, Ronda's still not cleared, so they can't do the Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler thing, which was the plan."

In the meantime, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan have had their first set of challengers already step up, with Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville confronting the Women's Tag Team Champions on last week's SmackDown.
