The feeling backstage in All Elite Wrestling is that tonight's "hall of fame worthy" surprise will "shock" the audience in a good way.

This is according to a new report from Fightful Select stating that much of the AEW roster has been clued-in on who the mystery newcomer is.

It is said that those in the know have done a great job of keeping the secret, which contrasts with last year's situation, when a backstage leaker drew considerable heat for putting spoilers out into the world.

Paul Wight confirmed the big debut on this week's episode of Dynamite, saying the newcomer was going to be a huge asset to AEW. Tony Khan has since stated that it is one of his personal favourite wrestlers of all time.

The speculation continues. With CM Punk and Batista ruling themselves out, Christian is amongst the current clubhouse leaders, particularly following yesterday's news that the Royal Rumble returnee may not be under WWE contract. The likes of Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, and Rob Van Dam have also been rumoured.

Revolution 2021 will feature a second debutant in the Face of the Revolution ladder match, which will determine the new number one contender to the TNT Title.
