Backstage Update On Aleister Black's New WWE Entrance Theme

Unhappy about Aleister's new entrance theme? Maybe don't blame WWE...

Aleister Black debuted a new WWE entrance theme on this week's episode of Raw, stomping down the ramp to a faster, more bludgeoning metalcore track than his old Root of All Evil track

Fans were quick to criticise the move, throwing shade at WWE for getting rid of one of their most popular songs, though it now looks like the Dutchman himself played a role in the change.

A new report from Fightful Select states that Black was involved in the process of selecting a new song, with a WWE wrestler reaching out to the outlet to clarify this after seeing the largely negative online reception.

Root of All Evil was a collaboration between WWE's old in-house music crew, CFO$, and Incendiary frontman Brendan Garrone, who lent his unmistakable vocals. The CFO$ link was immediately speculated as the reason behind the switch, as this was the case with Keith Lee's new music. CFO$ reportedly signed a "terrible deal" with their publishers, forgoing as much as 50% of all royalty payments, and it was reported that WWE had been talking to wrestlers about ditching their themes.

A number of wrestlers have retained their CFO$ songs after reportedly saying no to alternatives.
