Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff's appointments as Executive Directors for WWE Raw and SmackDown respectively were met with a mixed response across the internet, and it looks like this was reflected amongst the company's employees as well.

This is according to Fightful, who write that there "wasn't some big wave of optimism" when they spoke to "many wrestlers" about Heyman and Bischoff.

Per the writeup, the first reaction saw a longtime WWE employee question why Triple H wasn't promoted to one of the positions, while another compared the situation to Shane McMahon wanting to improve his position and being bypassed. Continuing the pessimistic theme, one wrestler said that "Vince is still in charge, so that's all you really need to know," while another added that things couldn't possibly get any worse than they already are.

On the positive side, one performer spoke highly of Heyman's roster familiarity and stated this will be a major benefit, noting that 'The Advocate' had already proven his willingness to go out of his way in a previous role.

While the fanbase's reaction has leaned more positive as a whole, the above comments are very, very similar to those made online.
