Backstage Update On Jeff Hardy's WWE Future

What, if anything, does Jeff Hardy's diminished screen time mean for his WWE career?

Jeff Hardy is tied to WWE for the foreseeable future.

Per a new report from PWInsider's Mike Johnson, the contract extension signed by Hardy last summer was for around 2-3 years. This would mean he has at least one year left on his deal - and possibly longer.

Johnson noted that Hardy's recent usage (or lack thereof) in WWE and last night's short Raw loss to Jinder Mahal had sparked questions about his wrestling future, raising speculation on his WWE contract potentially coming to an end. That doesn't appear to be the case. Per one of PWInsider's sources, Jeff has "a good chunk of time left" in Stamford.

Last night's loss to Mahal went just 3:25. It was Jeff's first Raw bout since 22 March, when he fell to The Miz. Hardy has primarily been used to put other wrestlers over this year, with his last true singles win coming against Elias on the 11 January episode of Raw.

Jeff's brother, Matt, hasn't been shy of suggesting he wants to work with his younger sibling again before one of them retires. With this news, the Hardys will need to wait a while before this becomes realistic.
