With The Young Bucks having reportedly recently signed new AEW deals, there's now an update on the contract status of certain other heavy hitters of Tony Khan's promotion.

As per Wade Keller over at the Pro Wrestling Torch, there are several AEW talent whose contracts are due to expire in 2022 and who are currently assessing their next move.

Keller states he's talked to some AEW stars who are pondering what their contract renewal offer will look like when their deal is up, with these names weighing up how much leverage they will have with WWE, New Japan Pro Wrestling or even GCW and the independent scene.

Additionally, Wade made mentioned of how Tony Khan is hopeful of re-signing both Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes and also how neither of those talents have indicated they are unhappy enough to not pen a contract extension. In fact, Keller adds how Omega and Rhodes may even have already signed a new AEW deal.

As has been reported previously, the belief is that the vast majority of the AEW Originals signed three-year contracts when first joining the company. That would mean these deals are due to come to an end next year. As well as the Bucks recently signing new contracts, Britt Baker extended her deal this past September, whilst Scorpio Sky has also signed a new five-year deal with AEW.
