Backstage Update On Missing AEW Star (AEW News)

Someone fans haven't seen since 2025 was recently backstage at AEW shows. Comeback imminent?

Wardlow Dynamite
AEW

Fightful Select has got word that AWOL star Wardlow was actually backstage for AEW's recent Revolution pay-per-view in Los Angeles on 15 March. That seems to have been kept under wraps at the time, but the website heard from sources that the big powerhouse was...in the house.

However, Wardlow was only there visiting and there are no plans for him to pop up on episodes of Dynamite or Collision imminently. That won't stop fans from wondering if the once-promising former TNT Champion can make a splash on the roster when he finally does launch his comeback.

Wardlow hasn't actually wrestled since losing an AEW World Title match to trusty veteran Samoa Joe on the 13 March 2024 edition of Dynamite. He hasn't been seen on All Elite screens at all since joining the Don Callis Family back at Forbidden Door in August 2025 - the big man suffered a torn pectoral injury during that segment, which put him right back on the bench.

He'd already been out rehabbing a serious knee injury for a solid year before that, so this was viewed as a major setback for Wardlow and for AEW's creative plans with Don Callis and his stable. It'll be interesting to see what comes next for Wardlow when he's back on TV.

Fightful isn't 100% sure whether Wardlow has even been cleared for in-ring work at this stage. He's been busy shooting 2 seasons of American Gladiators in the interim. So, at least the wrestler has had something to keep him going as he readies for his latest AEW return.
