Whether on Raw or the weekly NXT broadcast, there has been a notable Scarlett-shaped hole whenever Karrion Kross has been in action in recent weeks.

As per Mike Johnson over at PWInsider Elite, the reason for Scarlett's ongoing absence is because she's not currently cleared to compete right now. Johnson adds how there is nothing specifically wrong with the Chicago native, and that she needed to take some time off "for something".

It's currently unclear whether Scarlett will be back at the side of Kross when he defends the NXT Championship against Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver 36 this coming Sunday night. Given how many expect this to be Doomsday's swansong with the NXT brand, one has to imagine that Scarlett will be present for her man's big title defence if she's able to be.

Kross and Scarlett have been inseparable since the pair debuted on NXT TV in April 2020, although, as mentioned, Karrion has been rocking it solo during his main roster appearances on Raw and Main Event.

Scarlett herself was in singles action back in June, working a pre-SmackDown dark match against Shotzi Blackheart as WWE assessed NXT talent.
