Backstage Update On Solo Sikoa's Meteoric WWE Push (WWE News)
PEW PEW! 'Solo Dolo' is making as many friends backstage in WWE as he is inside stadiums and arenas
Solo Sikoa is simply too over on both sides of the camera for WWE to currently consider parking his babyface run.
This was confirmed by X scoopster account WRKD Wrestling, who noted following the segment that; "As shared by us last week, Solo’s face run wasn’t in danger with tonight’s segment. The reception has been positive both on and off screen".
There was speculation his recent run as one of the company's top babyfaces would be cut short and/or folded into the ongoing Bloodline family drama after the former MFT leader lost to Jey Uso on last week's Raw. Per the stipulation of that match, The Usos were to deliver Solo to Roman Reigns, with the expectation being that he would fall in line and rejoin the family, per their urging.
In the end - and despite sustaining a Jacob Fatu Tongan Death Grip attack earlier in the segment - Solo used the Samoan Spike on Roman Reigns and aided LA Knight in taking out 'The Tribal Chief' and new Bloodline "Captains" Jimmy and Jey as a scolded Jacob looked on. Sikoa and Knight stood tall as Raw went off the air, leaving together as they had done at SummerSlam when victorious over the group in a six-man tag alongside the recently kayfabe injured Royce Keys. The plot will continue to thicken in the weeks to come, with Knight looking a cert for a shot at Roman's World Heavyweight Title, assuming he can survive the challenge of whomever wins the tournament for a shot against him on the Mexico City edition of Raw on September 14th.
