One month on from Forgotten Sons man Jaxson Ryker teasing the trio's WWE return on Instagram, Fightful Select has reported that the promotion has commenced discussions on bringing Ryker, Wesley Blake, and Steve Cutler back to television.

The creative department is currently devising material for their return, with Edge reportedly lending the Forgotten Sons backstage advice ahead of the comeback.

June saw the trio removed from SmackDown when Ryker made the thoughtless move of using heightened racial tensions in the United States to try and put heel heat on himself following an ill-timed political tweet. Kevin Owens, Mustafa Ali, and other WWE wrestlers publically criticised him for this, while Cutler, Blake, and Ryker's own sister distanced themselves from the take on social media. Talk of immense backstage heat in the promotion followed.

There's currently no word on whether or not Jaxson will be associated with the group should they return.

Dave Meltzer has previously reported that the Forgotten Sons were in line to defeat The New Day to become SmackDown Tag Team Champions prior to Ryker's tweet, prompting the promotion to pivot to Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura as heel title-holders instead.
