Having made a brief appearance on NXT programming just over a month ago to make Ava Raine the NXT General Manager, many have questioned whether William Regal will at some point soon be returning as a semi-regular presence on NXT TV.

For those hoping to see more of the Englishman on their screens, it looks like you'll be disappointed.

As per Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, there are currently no plans to feature Regal on-screen full-time in any capacity. Of course, those plans could always change, but for now, it appears the Gentleman Villain will be kept off TV.

Having been released by WWE in January 2022, Regal would land in AEW that March and soon put together what would become the Blackpool Combat Club. That run with All Elite Wrestling would come to an end at the end of the year, with Regal requesting his company exit in order to work with his son, Charlie Dempsey, in NXT. That request was granted, and the two-time Intercontinental Champion would return to WWE in January 2023 and assume a Vice President of Global Talent Development role which sees him help talents with their matches.
