With many expecting the WWE return of Uncle Howdy on tomorrow's Raw, there's now somewhat of an update on plans for Howdy and his new faction.

Previously, it's been reported that Howdy will return with a group consisting of Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, and Joe Gacy, and recent QR codes suggest 17 June as the date when this faction will make its presence known.

Now, per Fightful Select, there's a belief within WWE that there's a "real chance" this stable will work for a modern wrestling audience. While it was at times difficult to make things work in-ring with Bray Wyatt due to certain elements of the Wyatt/Fiend character, WWE sources say that won't be as much of an issue this time around as it's not currently planned for Howdy and Co. to have any supernatural elements in their presentation.

Fightful also adds that there were discussions of having Mercy the Buzzard, Huskus the Pig, and the White Rabbit involved with Howdy, although the visuals of the group are being "kept close to the vest". A lot of work has gone into the costumes created for the members of this faction, with the stable planned months prior to the Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal documentary.
