Fightful Select's sources tell them that WWE's creative team is currently weighing up a possible multi-man scenario for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 42. Basically, it doesn't look like reigning champ Drew McIntyre will bag a traditional one-on-one clash come the biggest weekend of the entire year.

Instead, there's a chance he'll defend against a combination of workers such as Cody Rhodes, Jacob Fatu, Randy Orton, Sami Zayn and Aleister Black. If all of them are involved, then Triple H's company would hype up a 'Six Pack Challenge' for the Scot on the grandest stage.

Other scenarios on the table include a Triple Threat (Drew vs. Cody vs. Fatu) and a Fatal-4-Way (Drew vs. Cody vs. Fatu vs. Orton). Of course, all of this is pure speculation and behind the scenes scuttlebutt at this point. Things could easily change the closer WWE gets to 'Mania in Las Vegas.

Perhaps the most interesting statement to come from an unnamed source is this: "At this point, it’s shaping up to be anything but a singles match". So, those concerned that the promotion would put on another McIntyre vs. Rhodes bout can sleep easy. That wouldn't make much sense considering they had a '3 Stages Of Hell' encounter on SmackDown in Germany last month.

Going back to a straight up singles effort could feel weird after that epic.

A multi-man seems much more likely then, and it'd be a simple way for WWE to get as many names as possible on the card. Plus, Drew's story on SmackDown since becoming champion has cast him as a marked man who's aware he has a giant target on his back.

Let's see what shakes out.
