Beth Phoenix To Stay With WWE After WrestleMania 35?
It looks like 'The Glamazon' may be sticking around a while longer...
Beth Phoenix and Natalya were unsuccessful in their attempt at becoming WWE Women's Tag Team Champions at WrestleMania 35, with The IIconics capitalising on 'The Glamazon's' top rope Glam Slam to Bayley to score the decisive pinfall.
It was widely assumed that this recent title charge was a one-off for Phoenix, but it now sounds like the four-time Divas/Women's Champion could be sticking around.
This is according to PW Insider, who don't give any indication of how long, exactly, Phoenix will remain on WWE television, but note that she could hang around to work more matches - including a stint on the upcoming European tour.
Encouraging news, as Beth looked good at WrestleMania 35 and there's still plenty that WWE could do with her comeback. She has the established Natalya partnership to work with, and the 'Mania finish could easily be parlayed into a rematch with The IIconics, but there are singles opportunities too. The opportunity to pit Phoenix against the likes of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka is super enticing.
Beth wasn't present on this week's Raw after 'Mania. It'll be interesting to see if she's included in the upercoming Superstar Shake-Up: if she is, she's sticking around.
