On Saturday evening, a show promoted by Lariato Pro Wrestling - which was being taped for Impact Wrestling's streaming service Impact Plus, for what it's worth - saw the return to pro wrestling of former WWE star, Big Cass.

Now known as Cass XL, this appearance marked the first wrestling-related appearance for former Colin Cassidy since 2019. He helped Impact veteran Hernandez in making the save for Cass' former WWE tag partner, Enzo Amore. Footage of his return has been posted to social media by Impact World Tag Team Champion, Doc Gallows:-

Being released by WWE following the 2018 Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Cass XL was last scheduled to be featured on a wrestling show in September 2019. He was instead removed from that show by police due to reported altercations with Joey Janela and Pat Buck.

Since these incidents, the former NXT fan favourite has been quite open with regards to his mental health troubles, admitting to suffering from both anxiety and depression, which resulted in his extended absence from wrestling.

Judging by the available photos and footage available from the show, Cass XL has gotten himself into incredible shape. No word yet on what his wrestling future holds for him, but stay tuned for more details as they come.
