BIG CHANGES Coming For Missing WWE Star (WWE News)
This AWOL WWE star's contract is set to expire, but the company has HUGE plans anyway.
Fightful Select is reporting that WWE has grand plans for the currently absent Ivy Nile despite the fact her contract is set to expire sooner rather than later. The website noted that Nile's deal with the market leader "is set to expire this fall", and they haven't heard from sources whether or not she's been sitting down with management to thrash out fresh terms.
However, and this is where things get really interesting, Fightful has heard that WWE chiefs have "a big change" in mind for Ivy on TV. That'd seem to suggest that they're interested in retaining her services. After all, it'd be bold if the creative team were using up valuable time to scheme for Nile if she was expected to leave the promotion ASAP. They've got far too much going on elsewhere for that.
These plans have been in the works "for quite a while" too.
Ivy hasn't been seen on WWE programming for months now. Indeed, her last match on Raw came as part of a #1 contendership gauntlet for the Women's Intercontinental Title during the 9 March episode. There, she lost out to eventual winner Bayley.
You'd have to go all the way back to the 15 December 2025 Raw for Ivy's last singles showing on the flagship. That was a Women's IC loss to then-champ Maxxine Dupri.
Nile has been working extensively on lower tier shows like Main Event for months now, but her last match came in early-August. On a brighter note, Fightful's write up implies that better things are coming for Ivy. Could that come with a sweeping gimmick change?
