Ronda Rousey's WWE future has been the subject of much speculation since Dave Meltzer reported in a recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the reigning Raw Women's Champion was likely done with the promotion after WrestleMania 35.

WWE responded by issuing a statement claiming Rousey was under contract until 10 April 2021, amidst rumours that 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet' would take a hiatus to start a family. Now, Meltzer's colleague, Bryan Alvarez, has provided an update on Wrestling Observer Live.

Noting that Rousey will almost certainly face Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in the long-rumoured WrestleMania 35 Triple Threat, Alvarez added that he is "85% certain" Ronda will work at least one more singles match after that, likely against Lynch on WWE's May pay-per-view (Backlash).

This would make sense from a narrative standpoint. 'The Man' triumphing at 'Mania by pinning or submitting Flair would bring the storyline they began at SummerSlam 2018 full circle, and wrestling Rousey one month later should tie up another loose end.

Many fans would still prefer a straight-up singles bout at WrestleMania, but if Alvarez's words ring true, it looks like we'll get the long-awaited Lynch vs. Rousey clash regardless.
