Bludgeon Brothers Cleared For WWE In-Ring Return
Harper and Rowan are on their way back to SmackDown.
Former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions the Bludgeon Brothers are on their way back to television, and could mount their in-ring return as soon as next week.
Per Mike Johnson of PW Insider, both Harper and Rowan have been cleared to compete following their respective injuries and while WWE haven't confirmed an official comeback date, the blue brand's 22 January episode isn't out of the question.
The Bludgeon Brothers were taken off television in August 2018. They dropped their Tag Team Titles to The New Day so that Rowan could take time off to recover from a torn bicep, while Harper took this opportunity to finally undergo overdue arm surgery. They haven't been seen since, and while a reunion with former ally Bray Wyatt has been rumoured on Raw, returning to SmackDown seems likelier.
They'll rejoin a stacked Tuesday night tag division, with the New Day, Usos, The Bar, Sanity, and the wacky Shane McMahon/Miz double-act comprising a stacked deck. Given how strongly they were pushed prior to the injuries, it's safe to say that Rowan and Harper will return at a high level, potentially as immediate title contenders.
