Having made his AEW debut at Winter is Coming, many wrestling fans are anticipating an in-ring return for Sting. Like some fans, though, two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is against seeing the Singer in active competition.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Booker advised against Sting wrestling another match.

As the Master of the Spinarooni put it:

“For Sting to want to have a match, I wouldn’t advise it. At 61 years old, I wouldn’t advise it. Is it worth it? I don’t know. I mean, to him it might be worth it. But I say wrestling is a young man’s sports, that’s why I got out.”

Booker would later add:

“Some guys just don’t want to quit. Some guys just don’t want to leave it alone, and that’s what they do, you know. I never thought I’d see Sting doing this at 61 years old. I just didn’t think that. But I was talking on my show last week, it’s hard sometimes to walk away from this business. And then again, after you’ve done it for so long you want to walk away from it your way. He didn’t get a chance to do that in WWE. So, maybe now in AEW he feels like he has a chance to go out there and do it his way and walk away from it.”

Sting has yet to get physical during his AEW tenure, although all signs certainly point to something happening with the multiple-time World Champion – seemingly involving Darby Allin, Team Taz, and likely Cody Rhodes.

Of course, Sting's last match was against Seth Rollins back at 2015's Night of Champions PPV. There, he suffered a neck injury that ultimately led to him announcing his retirement during his 2016 Hall of Fame induction.
