Last night's WWE Raw saw Braun Strowman return to television after battling a blood infection that caused the former Universal Champion to drop an alarming 15lbs in five days.

Braun didn't wrestle, nor did he appear in the ring. Instead, he was involved in a short backstage segment with authority figure Adam Pearce. Strowman wanted to have a conversation about getting into the WWE Title Elimination Chamber match on this Sunday's pay-per-view. Pearce said the reason Braun wasn't involved was down to him wanting to fill the bout with former WWE Champions, prompting Braun, a former Universal Champion, to make things right before things got ugly.

There were no further developments in the storyline beyond this.

Strowman has endured a turbulent few months. November 2020 saw him kayfabe suspended for attacking Pearce on Raw, with follow-up reports suggesting this was done so Braun could recover from a knee injury. Strowman returned just before Royal Rumble 2021, making an impact on the go-home episode of SmackDown, and entered WWE's signature over-the-top-rope battle royal at number 30, but then vanished again, revealing his blood infection on social media last week.

For his own sake, here's hoping his health issues are now fully behind him.
