Having been released from WWE this past June, Braun Strowman has now wrestled his first post-WWE match. Well, kind of.

At last night's Free the Narrative II event, Strowman - under his real name of Adam Scherr - defeated EC3 in the PPV's main event.

Like the rest of the show, this bout was a cinematic match of sorts, with "the narrator" calling the action as Scherr and Ethan Carter III did battle. With a new nickname of the Titan, the powerhouse former WWE Universal Champion started this contest by claiming how he'd had everything ripped away from him, and that he did everything that was asked of him but it was never good enough.

The Titan added how he had to kill the monster they wanted him to be in order to become the man he was put on this Earth to be. Scherr had the early advantage in this match before EC3 turned the tide with the help of a steel chair. After being bloodied and seemingly finding himself, the former Strowman then dropped Carter with a choke to pick up the knockout win.

Prior to Free the Narrative II airing, Scherr took to Twitter to thank EC3 for freeing him.
