Bray Wyatt's 6 Biggest WWE Defeats (So Far)

3. Randy Orton (WrestleMania 33)

In the months after another crushing defeat to The Undertaker, Wyatt’s career floundered. He was largely limited to cutting nonsensical, directionless promos with no end game in sight.

It wasn’t until late 2016 that he started to get back on track. Yet another Wyatt Family reunion once again put Bray in a prominent position on WWE television. However, this time he was able to convince Randy Orton to join his cult. Having some kind of control over a megastar like Orton helped to legitimize Bray and make him one of the most talked-about talents on SmackDown Live at the time.

It would ultimately lead to Bray’s first World Title reign as he won the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber 2017. This lead to tension between Wyatt and Orton, as the latter had won the Royal Rumble earlier in the year, setting the two men on a collision course for WrestleMania 33.

Orton became the babyface in the feud after burning down the Wyatt compound, because that’s the sort of thing that good guys do. But regardless of the clunky the storyline, the fact remained that Bray Wyatt was WWE Champion heading into the biggest night of the year.

Unfortunately, not even Bray’s superpowers and creepy slideshow projections were enough to defeat ‘The Viper’ at WrestleMania. It was yet another crushing defeat for Wyatt, who looked like an utter fool by the end of the match.
