An unsavoury incident occurred at last night's WWE Hall of Fame 2019 ceremony, when a stupid 'fan' jumped the barrier and rugby tackled Bret Hart during his induction speech. Wrestlers swarmed the ring, and the idiotic intruder was hauled to the back - but not before Dash Wilder could lamp him with a beautiful right hook.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the assailant has since been arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Sean Ross Sapp of MMA site Fightful has also revealed fresh details on the attacker - not that he deserves any further publicity for his irresponsible actions (and for that reason, we won't be naming him). Apparently, he's an amateur MMA fighter with a record of 2-1, who was arrested last year for violating a protection order. Sapp also reports that the fool quit his job at Allstate last year to focus on his fighting career.

That hasn't really worked out for him, and thankfully, nor did his impromptu skirmish last night. That said, we're sure many would pay good money to see Dash Wilder beat the crap out of him in the Octagon.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
