Was it ever going to be anything else? One of the most heavily hyped matches on the card, anticipation was sky high for this one. Goldberg, the man who dominated WCW and plowed his way through Raw versus Brock Lesnar, the man who had taken WWE by storm, conquering veterans, headliners, champions and legends. Hell Steve Austin was the special guest referee. This could have been something special. Well at least it was memorable! We all know the story. Both men were leaving. The fans knew it. And they let them hear it. Neither man seemed sure how to react to the overwhelming noise, and they let the fans get under their skin. They eventually rushed through their spots after several minutes of awkwardly stalling for time. Neither of them had any reason to care anymore. It is one of the most notorious matches in WWE history, and one of the original examples of a crowd hijacking a show. Even Stone Cold couldn't save this, although the MSG fans got what they wanted in the end when he gave each man a Stunner and downed some beer.
