Brock Lesnar Thought He'd Be Fired For Injuring WWE Legend

Imagine WWE had fired Brock Lesnar for this incident with a company legend?!

Mark Henry Hall Of Pain Rib
WWE Network

Brock Lesnar and Mark Henry got into a bit of a shoot-style scuffle during a training drill in WWE's old developmental factory OVW. This 2002 incident quickly got out of hand, and Henry suffered a knee injury that made both men fear for their jobs.

Mark told Sportskeeda that Brock hyper-extended his knee during a takedown and immediately asked if the 'World's Strongest Man' was alright - Henry wasn't, but it was his pride that took a battering more than his body. He didn't think that anybody on the planet could take him down like Lesnar just had.

Panicking, Brock said: "They're gonna fire me". He was stressing out. Meanwhile, a downed Henry eased the rookie's worries by saying, "They're not gonna fire you - they're gonna fire me!". He figured that Vince McMahon would be furious about the incident and blame the much-more seasoned Mark for it.

Nothing ever came of the situation, which Henry was relieved about. Brock too, because he thought for sure that his WWE dreams had just gone up in smoke. Both men went on to become World Champions.
