This was an absolute modern classic. Thanks to an incredible build up, there was a lot of drama going into this match as a vengeful CM Punk faced off against Lesnar after being attacked by him on the behest of Paul Heyman months before. Running for close to a full half an hour, this was a competitive and exciting contest which could have gone either way. Lesnar was the bully here, while Punk was the resilient underdog giving it his all. By far Lesnar's best match since returning (and in the couple of years before he became unstoppable), it's just a shame that there will never be a follow-up as they had an amazing level of chemistry together in the ring. Brock winning here was the right choice though.
