Chelsea Green has agreed on terms on a new contract with WWE.

This is according to Fightful Select, who report that Green has inked a new three-year deal with the promotion since injuring her wrist during her SmackDown debut last November. Her original contact was due to expire sometime this summer.

Green's injury came at the most inopportune moment for the former NXT wrestler. Reports suggested that her SmackDown debut was supposed to end with her beating Liv Morgan, Natalya, and Tamina in a four-way match, earning a spot on the blue brand's Survivor Series 2020 team, though the injury prevented this. WWE ended up going with Morgan instead.

January 2021 brought news that Green is currently going through the process of trying to get cleared to compete again, having recovered from her injury.

The 29-year-old has been with WWE since 2018. She became an NXT regular in January 2020, joining the ill-fated Robert Stone Brand stable, though she kicked the former Robbie E to the kerb by May and disappeared from television soon after. A planned Raw call-up was cancelled when executive director Paul Heyman was removed from his red brand position.
