Having been absent from WWE since the night she made her SmackDown debut back in November, it looks like Chelsea Green is edging closer to an in-ring return.

Via Fightful Select, Green is currently going through the relevant processes to get cleared to return to action. Having been out injured with a broken wrist, the belief is that the injury itself has now healed – it’s just a matter of going through WWE’s standard clearance protocol.

The one-time IMPACT Knockouts Champion has recently been seen at the WWE Performance Center, and her social media activity has also seen her working out with Britt Baker, Rebel, Santana Garrett and the current IMPACT Knockouts Champ, Deonna Purrazzo.

Green formally signed with WWE in August 2018, quickly being assigned to the NXT brand. An appearance on WWE Raw came in December 2019, and that was followed by the former Laurel Van Ness being an entrant in the 2020 women’s Royal Rumble.

While a main roster move was rumoured throughout most of 2020, that finally came on the 13 November edition of SmackDown. Partaking in a four-way Survivor Series qualifying match – which she was actually due to win – it was here that Green suffered the broken wrist that has kept her out of action for the past two months.
