As WrestleMania 41 nears, one notable omission from the card continues to be WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green. And as of now, that's not set to change, as she's currently not scheduled to compete on the show.

This is according to a new report from Fightful Select, who were; "told that as of late last week, she was not scheduled for the show. We’re told there had been a couple of pitches for her to host the show, but as of this past weekend, there was nothing there. When we asked sources near creative, we were told that once the show is formatted out, it’s possible that a skit or segment to be added. However, as of each of the last two times we’d asked, that wasn’t the case."

This will presumably not only disappoint Green but also the legions of fans she's built up over the last few years. As the inaugural US Champion, Green has also built bigger parts for Piper Niven and Alba Fyre as the "Secret Hervice" and has been involved in programmes with Zelina Vega and Michin amongst others on SmackDown. With WWE promoting a packed WrestleMania lineup featuring high-profile title bouts and marquee matches, some championships and talents have been forced to take a backseat in the planning process, but Green's absence from the show feels potentially one of the most egregious.

WrestleMania 41 takes place on April 19th and 20th from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Whether Green ends up with a match, segment, host role or simply a backstage appearance at 'The Show Of Shows' remains to be seen, but anybody that still believes in the meritocracy within the market leader will be hoping they pivot in time to get her on the show.
