Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega Brawl During NJPW Press Conference

Alpha vs. Omega heats up... again.

24 hours after Chris Jericho left Kenny Omega bloodied following an ambush at NJPW's World Tag League finals, the January 4th opponents are back at it again.

'The Cleaner' jumped Jericho during today's Wrestle Kingdom 12 press conference, leaping upon his foe mid-sentence, but it didn't end well for the bandaged Omega. He was pulled off 'Y2J' relatively quickly. Chris was quick to retaliate, picking up a table, lobbing it straight at Kenny, then pummelling the Bullet Club leader before he too was dragged away.

The full exchange was posted to NJPW's YouTube account, and can be viewed from 28:50 onwards.

Branded Alpha vs. Omega, the match takes place at WK12 (New Japan's equivalent of WrestleMania), and is now being pushed as the co-main event. Initially promoted as a dream match, the rivalry now feels very much like a blood feud, with Jericho threatening to end Kenny's career in his manic, unhinged press conference spiel.

Yesterday's bloody assault was a powerful visual, and the table-throwing is just as memorable. Full credit to Jericho, Omega, and NJPW for heating this potentially game-changing feud up so effectively over the past couple of days.
