Chris Jericho Sign Confiscated At Tuesday's WWE Tapings

Y2J responds with surprise on Twitter.

Twitter user @OchoFisho has reported that his 'Y2J' sign had been confiscated at Tuesdays' WWE tapings. According to the same fan, the event in Jacksonville, Florida only played host to an estimated 3,000 in attendance. It was also reported that the fans were very subdued for the majority of the show. Chris Jericho actually responded to the post, retweeting it and simply posting "Haha really?" - a fairly muted reaction, given the surprising nature of the incident. It's unclear why relations between WWE and Y2J would be strained to the point of a sign being confiscated, especially considering the fact that he only last appeared on October 3rd, facing Kevin Owens at the Madison Square Garden Network exclusive event. Perhaps WWE were simply reluctant for a sign dedicated to a part-time performer to have a place of particular prominence, particularly on a show with such a reportedly quiet crowd - although confiscating it seems a pretty extreme overreaction. Had Jericho not appeared for several years, or left the company under controversial circumstances, their position would perhaps be a little more understandable. Although the exact wording of the sign has yet to be clarified by @OchoFisho, they later clarified that it "wasn't vulgar or anything". Jericho is yet to comment further. https://twitter.com/IAmJericho/status/674440822365007872
