Another professional wrestler has packed his bags and left the TNA ship.

Chris Melendez took to Twitter last night to announce his departure from the company, just under two years after arriving in TNA.

Melendez had barely been used in recent months, and his last match with TNA came in March during a winning effort against some dude called Beauregard at Victory Road.

Melendez was actually discovered by Ken Anderson (Mr. Kennedy) and Bubba Ray Dudley, with the latter offering to train him at the Team 3D Wrestling Academy if he'd only take the 'leap of faith'. Melendez duly did, and was quickly snapped up by TNA.

Melendez's tenure in TNA mostly consisted of fairly distasteful stories revolving around his prosthetic leg, but this is professional wrestling after all.

Melendez enlisted with the army when he was just 17, and went on to serve in Iraq. It was in the Middle Eastern country that an IED struck his platoon and pretty much decimated Melendez, leaving him without a left leg. He survived however, and received the Purple Heart for his troubles.

What next for Chris Melendez? He is currently taking bookings of course, at SargeBrand@gmail.com.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
