Chuck Taylor Delivers Vital Update On His AEW Status
Best Friends man Chuck Taylor wants you to know something, guys.
Chuck Taylor wants you to know that he has not been fired by All Elite Wrestling, guys.
The Best Friend tweeted exactly this on Monday. He was responding to a gif of him nailing an opponent with his Awful Waffle finisher from a match airing on yesterday's AEW Dark: Elevation, which saw Taylor and Trent Beretta defeat GPA and Isaiah Broner.
This was Taylor's first AEW match since the 30 March Dark: Elevation tapings, where Best Friends defeated The WorkHorsemen of Anthony Henry and JD Drake. To date, Chuck has worked only seven matches for AEW thus far in 2022.

Taylor's relatively lengthy hiatus from AEW programming had led to speculation on his future. In his absence, Beretta had become preoccupied with reprising Roppongi Vice alongside Rocky Romero, while Orange Cassidy has spent much of the past few months injured. Former affiliate Wheeler Yuta, meanwhile, left his trainer for William Regal and the Blackpool Combat Club months ago.
Chuck is essentially a day one AEW wrestler, with the young promotion announcing his and Beretta's signing in February 2019. This followed a protracted split from New Japan Pro Wrestling.
