Oney Lorcan is back with WWE full-time.

Although it had been previously reported that the former NXT Tag Team Champion was back with the promotion only as a guest coach, this isn't the case. Reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that Lorcan has actually been brought back to the company as a full-time coach at the Performance Center - a position he has held "for a while."

Talk of Lorcan potentially returning to WWE started swirling in September, when the former Biff Busick tweeted an image of NXT's brand-new logo without further context. Now, it looks like he has back in the system.

The 36-year-old had previously been released by WWE in November 2021, when his request to be let go by the market leaders was granted. An acclaimed independent run featuring well-received matches against the likes of Jon Moxley, Brody King, and Wheeler Yuta followed, before Lorcan announced in July that he was taking some time away from the ring. That he was on his way back to WWE wasn't apparent at the time.

There is currently no word on whether or not Oney will combine his new WWE duties with an in-ring role.
