CM Punk: 10 Things He Will Do After His WWE Contract Expires
6. Starts His Own Podcast
It seems these days the thing to do is start your own podcast. Some of the top sports podcast currently are wrestling related, including: Jim Ross' The Ross Report, The Steve Austin Show and even Punk's close friend Colt Cabana's Art Of Wrestling. While all these shows do great, there is one podcast style that would be a great fit for CM Punk, and that would be Chris Jericho's Talk Is Jericho. Jericho's podcast is different because of the guest he has on, which can range from hockey stars, to lead singers. While he does focus on wrestling, and goes over the week in WWE and upcoming pay-per-views, Jericho has more variance on his podcast. CM Punk could easily do a weekly podcast in his hometown, and could follow Jericho's blueprint. He could incorporate his love of Chicago sports and interview Cubs and Blackhawks players, and could have his band friends on to talk music. He would not have a problem getting anyone in the wrestling world to do his show either. His ties go much further than just the WWE, as he could interview stars from Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling as well as the MMA world. By having a podcast, Punk could cash in on his name recognition, and still be relevant in the entertainment scene.
