CM Punk: 10 Ways WWE Will Book His Return

1. Pipe Bomb 2014

This would be the one most fans would want. If the 2011 pipe-bomb was a game changer, then the 2014 one could be even bigger. Back then, online rumours suggested Punk's contract was up but, up until that moment, no wrestler had ever really addressed it in such a way. WWE, arguably, changed forever after Punk sat down in his Stone Cold T-Shirt that night. There are so many questions the fans want answering. Why did he disappear the night after the Royal Rumble? Why the anger towards the company? Will he sign a new contract with WWE? Again, so many online rumours suggest that Punk was pissed off with part-timers returning with a particular emphasis on the possible signing of Sting. His anger is felt by the fans who, although excited by Hogan as the host of WrestleMania, and Undertaker stabbing Lesnar's hand with a pen, want to see wrestlers like Bryan, Cesaro and Ziggler get their fair chance and a good pay-day. To see Punk address the crowd again and discuss the poor state of the company, how he's been ignored on air since he left, put down Sting and Hogan, tease a debut at Ring of Honour and break the fourth wall will create the exact mainstream momentum WWE needs this month. Would it lead to Punk re-signing? Who knows. Vince is a fan and committed to Punk so one would hope so. If nothing else, Punk slating Triple H's creative decisions would make him a huge star again after losing his way with the Paul Heyman feud of 2013. WWE needs Punk. The question is, does Punk need the WWE? We'll find out tonight.
