8. Straight Edge Gangster - WrestleMania 22
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7esVyWfUBQ When CM Punk dreamed about one day appearing at WrestleMania, odds are those dreams did not include him carrying a Tommy gun while dressed like a Depression-era gangster, an extra in another Superstar's specially concocted entrance. Yet, that is exactly what unfolded on April 2, 2006 at WrestleMania 22 when Punk was part of John Cena's grand entrance at the event. It was Punk's first taste of the bright lights, the grandeur, the pomp and the circumstance that comes along with it. It also had to be a bit humbling, knowing that the company did not have enough faith in him as a performer to actually be called up to the main roster and compete on the show. Luckily, with the launch of the revived ECW in June and the complete support of Paul Heyman, Punk would make his debut on WWE television shortly thereafter. His night as Chicago gangster would live on some five years later when it became a plot device for his feud with John Cena. Their match at Money in the Bank 2011, one of the best in recent memory, just happened to take place in the very arena that Punk's inauspicious debut took place: Chicago's AllState Arena. Instead of leading Cena to the ring, however, he would be beating him for the WWE Championship.
